Snow Removal Responsibilities
Posted on Nov 13th, 2018
Association Responsibility - The Association has posted it's "snow map" on the website, you can view it there, as well as on the clubhouse bulletin board, or click here. The Association will only remove snow from the alleyways, Harding Circle, the parking lots, certain sections of trail, and sidewalks that are adjacent to common ground.

Township Responsibility - The Township plows all the roadways except Harding Circle.

Owner Responsibility - Regardless of living in a single or town home, everyone is responsible for snow removal to their driveways, walk from the front door to the driveway or sidewalk, and the sidewalk out front of your home. Homes located on corners are also responsible for the sidewalks along the side of their home, as well as clearing a path at the corner so people can safely cross the street. Do not put snow back onto already cleared alleyways or streets. Do not put any snow down any of the storm drains. They need to be free to take in the melting snow. Packing them with snow will cause them to not function properly and could cause flooding.

Single Family Homes - Please remember to clear a path in the street to your mailbox for the Mail Carrier to safely deliver your mail to your  home.

Township Snow Related Ordinances - Police can issue tickets:
Parking on the street when snow is in the forecast is not permitted
All sidewalks must be completely cleared of snow and ice within 12 hours of the end of a storm
Ice Caused from Drainage off Home Lots - Everyone is reminded that you are responsible to monitor the flow of drainage from your downspout extensions and sump pump lines. If any icing is caused in the alleyways due to your properties drainage you will be cited for this safety violation, fined and charged the full costs incurred by the Association to have the iced area treated and cleared. If you notice any ice forming in the alleyways please address it immediately so you are not cited. It is highly suggested you disconnect any sump pump lines so they drain into your side yard only during the winter months.

Parking Lot Use During Snow Storms - As noted above the Township does not permit parking on the streets during snow storms. Everyone is urged to use their garages and driveways before parking in the Association lots.

However, if you park in the clubhouse lot please leave the spaces closest to the building empty so people using the building will be able to park there. Parking is limited to no more than 72 consecutive hours, violators will be towed at the vehicle owners sole expense.
